All properties require maintenance, whether to ensure they remain safe working environments, or simply to provide a more pleasant or functional place to work.  At Handyman Lincoln we have experience of completing commercial work both large and small.

Perhaps there is a blocked pipe, or over-flowing guttering?  Is it a door that requires easing or a room that needs a colour change?  Pictures to hang or desks to build?  The list is, of course endless.  From one-off problems, regular maintenance or more detailed projects, allow us to take care of your needs – professionally, efficiently and working within the unique requirements of your business.

We have been called upon to plan and install a decontamination room in a private dental practice with ceiling hung LCD flatscreen televisions in each studio.  We have provided access control for a fine arts auctioneers and built racking and storage for valuable items.  And we’ve fitted skirtings, architraves and internal doors for a haulage company.  Three examples of local businesses who require very different solutions, but only need to call one number.

It would be unrealistic of us to proclaim that we can immediately attend any problem, every time.  On occasion this may be possible, but if not, what we can guarantee is a working solution in an acceptable timeframe.

Project Work

Project work can take many forms, but here at Handyman Lincoln we have the experience to ensure your idea grows from a spark to a flame.  Allow us to reduce the stress of a major renovation by listening to your plan, making proposals that may allow you to achieve your aim within the budget you’ve allocated, and then organising the right people and materials at the right times to aid in the execution.

Bathrooms and kitchens are the obvious examples of project work and we have carried out many, to suit a wide range of tastes and budgets.  However, a project could also involve opening and blocking up doorways in a house, removing an existing downstairs cloakroom to create a larger room, or perhaps a decontamination room in a private city centre dental studio – all projects that have been successfully carried out.  Each of these involved the following:

  • MAINTAIN

While not all projects take this format, or involve all aspects of the above, it is vital that time is spent planning and preparing for a project before rushing in to the installation phase.  Our experience in this area can help avoid pitfalls that may lead to additional expense, or perhaps we can make suggestions that help tailor the outcome to your specific needs and desires.

On most occasions we can handle all aspects of work required.  Occasionally, however we have to call upon associated businesses to provide support.  These are trusted, reliable tradesmen or businesses we have used before and who apply our principles and philosophies to carrying out the work in your property.  If they are working on behalf of us, then we expect from them what we expect from ourselves.

We already work closely with letting agents as approved contractors and private landlords with local property and have developed good relationships built on years of honest, reliable assessments and satisfactory job completion.

The rental market is competitive and tenants often have options when trying to find a suitable property to call home.  Making your property as marketable as possible can bring increased revenue and shorter tenant free periods.  As you are well aware, your property is a valuable asset and carrying out maintenance when it is required will ensure it remains that way.

Whether it is a quick ‘makeover’ between tenancies, one-off or ongoing maintenance issues, or a project to install a new bathroom or kitchen we are always ready to help.

We are often asked to enter properties with tenants at work or University/college and in many cases this is standard procedure.  We will always inform the tenant before entering and will leave the property as we find it.

We like to offer you, the landlord the solutions to issues so that they do not reoccur.  We cannot always promise to offer the cheapest solution, if this is not the best long term answer to the problem.  We can however, assure you that we will endeavour to complete the task as efficiently and cost effectively as possible.

We offer no call out fee and are fully insured with a Master Tradesman public liability insurance policy.
